In 2015, the Fort McKay Group of Companies received recognition for Most Improved – Large Company at Syncrude’s annual safety awards. Jim Carbery, former CEO of the Fort McKay Group of Companies, credits this award to the implementation of the Loss Prevention System (LPS), a system that uses behaviour-based tools and management techniques to prevent or reduce losses.
The Bison Ranch recently hit a milestone that many only dream of - over 4,500 days without recordable injury. Not a single recordable injury since May of 2004. Brad Ramstead, who manages the ranch, credits his team’s communication and caution.
