Procurement
Fort McKay Logistics aims to be the first Fourth Party Logistics (4PL) Indigenous supply chain management service provider in Canada. We want to be a one stop shop where Fort McKay Logistics is your vendor of choice to source, buy and move materials from suppliers, stock materials at warehouses, and deliver materials on time to customers.
Our business model includes sourcing, buying, stocking, repackaging and moving materials. To enable this business model, we have formed a Procurement department that manages services beyond transportation and warehousing. Some areas of focus of our Procurement department include freight forwarding, supplying materials and Mobil lubricants.
Freight Forwarding
We source logistics and freight forwarding services that go beyond services we provide with our fleet. We have established relationships with logistics subcontractors and freight forwarding companies. We have the capability to move materials from anywhere in the world via land, sea and air by leveraging our comprehensive contracts with logistics service providers.
Material Supplier
We source, buy and stock materials on behalf of our clients. We have capabilities to search, qualify and select both international and domestic suppliers, and negotiate contracts with them. We have a comprehensive contract with Sinopec, which gives access to low-cost China imported materials, and with other suppliers to satisfy the needs of our clients.
We identify materials that are common to multiple clients and leverage economies of scale to source materials at competitive rates. We supply a variety of materials including but not limited to pipes, valves, flanges, fittings, fasteners and ground engaging parts such as blades, rippers, etc.
Mobil Lubricants
We are an authorized distributor of Mobil Lubricants to the Oil Sands. We supply both bulk and packaged Mobil Lubricants to our clients.
